Woodland View is a specialist short break service for adults with learning disabilities and autism. The service is on the ground floor of a 3 storey purpose built mixed use building comprising of Woodland View (ground floor) and Extra Care Housing (floors 2/3).  Located in a peaceful residential area with convenient access to local services and transport to neighbouring towns and cities. Only one mile away, Cannock Town Centre offers a variety of shops, restaurants, bars, and cafes as well as both an outdoor and indoor weekly market.

Also Cannock Chase which is located in an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, is situated south of Cannock. The Visitor Centre serves as the beginning point for many of the excursions through the Chase and offers an overview of the beautiful area.

Facilities

The property features nine well-appointed roomy bedrooms each of which has en-suites, wet rooms, door sensor, sensory projectors, televisions, and ceiling track hoist systems.

In addition to the 9 individual bedrooms, there is also one apartment. The apartment has one bedroom, kitchen/lounge area and its own bathroom, the apartment also has its own separate entry/exit from the main building. The apartment is used to assess a person’s skills and abilities with regards to daily living tasks so that hopefully, they can move on to a more independent living setting. The apartment can also be used to provide separate accommodation for anyone presenting with behaviours that could potentially cause harm or risk to others using the service.

A stunning light well connects the structure and is the centre point between the entrance and all of the bedrooms. Two spacious bathrooms with assistive technologies situate themselves in the centre of the light well for easy access.

With two sets of patio doors and numerous windows incorporated into one side of the room, the extremely spacious lounge, kitchen, and dining area has been created to be bright, airy, and comforting. Residents can utilise the completely accessible garden from this room. Wheelchair users are welcome in the kitchen to as they can have access to cooking on the hob and utilising our adjustable countertops.

There is also a standalone apartment with a spacious, light-filled living room, kitchen, dining area and wet room. Support staff can respond promptly when needed be-cause the flat has both its own independent door and an entrance that leads into the main building. The cooker and sink in the kitchen are accessible to wheelchair users thanks to adapted surfaces.

Our Stunning Garden

Our garden is nicely designed to ensure accessibility can be met by all. The garden also features a set of adult swings, elevated flower and herb beds, and lets not forget the numerous seating areas.

There are lots of supermarkets nearby, including Asda, Aldi, Sainsburys and Morrisons.

We’re in a quiet residential area of Cannock.

There are a number of GP surgeries, dentists and opticians within a few miles of the service.

The bus stop is a few minutes walk away and has connections to Cannock, Walsall and Wolverhampton.

There is on-site parking available.

Cannock train station is a five minute drive away with direct trains to Birmingham and Rugeley Trent Valley.
